Northwest Ohio's premier bicycle racing club

We will hold the annual club picnic on Sunday, September 13th at the Wheelhouse at Oak Openings.  Here is a link to the event MVW Summer Picnic.  There is no cost to attend and guests are welcome too! 

Social Pre-Picnic Rides: 

• There will be a social MTB ride from the Wheelhouse at 1 PM on the trails there.  Some demo MTB's will be provided by Cycle Werks if you'd like to try this ride.
• There will also be a social no-drop pavement ride from the Springbrook parking lot at 1PM using the Wabash Cannonball rail-trail.  

Food and Beverages:  Food will be served at 3PM at the Wheelhouse.  The club will be grilling burgers and hot dogs and will provide buns and condiments.  Chips and desserts will also be provided.  The first beverage (Earnest Brew Works) is free to all Regular and Elite Club members. 

Please register as soon as possible so that we know how much food to bring.

1 Racers and 5 workers needed for the road race at the Scotch Ridge venue

We still need racers and workers for the road race tomorrow, August 18th.  Here is a link to the registration.  We need at least 10 total racers to make it worth the effort to hold the event and to provide enough competition for those racing.  Whether working or racing, please sign up as soon as possible to allow this race to happen.  

Please keep an eye out for weather and race updates via e-mail and this web site as conditions and instructions can change rapidly.  

Also, please note that if you sign up to work and show up at the venue before the race, but the race can't be held due to (1) nearby lightning or (2) not enough workers to safely run the race or (3) fewer than 10 racers you still get your worker credit.

Important information regarding the Club Championship road race at the Scotch Ridge venue

The weather forecast, and especially the lightning does not look conducive to holding the race at Scotch Ridge tonight.  We will postpone tonight's event to next Tuesday at Scotch Ridge.  I will cancel all of tonight's registrations and, if you have paid already you will have a credit for next week's race.

Important information regarding the Club Championship road race at the Scotch Ridge venue

We have just enough racers (12) and workers (4) to hold the race as of 9:00 am so will hold the race as scheduled, assuming all registered actually show up.  However, it would be great to have more racers join to provide a competative event for all categories.  Here is a link to the registration.  We need at least 10 total racers to make it worth the effort to hold the event and to provide enough competition for those racing.  Whether working or racing, please sign up as soon as possible to allow this race to happen.  

Please keep an eye out for weather and race updates via e-mail and this web site as conditions and instructions can change rapidly.  We will race even if it's raining, but not if there is active lightning within 10 miles of the venue.

Race Workers Needed for the road race at the Scotch Ridge venue

We still need 5 workers for the road race tomorrow, Tuesday, May 12th.  Here is a link to the registration.  Whether working or racing, please sign up as soon as possible to allow this race to happen. 

Please keep an eye out for weather and race updates via e-mail and this web site as conditions and instructions can change rapidly.  The forecast for tomorrow has IMPROVED!  Looks like mid-60's and rain not arriving until we 8 or 9 PM.  

Also, please note that if you sign up to work and show up at the venue before the race, but the race can't be held for whatever reason (lightning, not enough workers to safely run the race, meteor strike within 100 miles or so, ...) you still get your worker credit!
