WELCOME TO MAUMEE VALLEY WHEELMEN
I'm presently unable to send the usual e-mail call for racers and workers for the race in 2 days, so...... Here is what I was hoping to send:
We still need racers and workers for the omnium on July 28th. Here is a link to the registration. We need at least 10 total racers to make it worth the effort to hold the event and to provide enough competition for those racing. Whether working or racing, please sign up as soon as possible to allow this race to happen.
Please keep an eye out for weather and race updates via e-mail and this web site as conditions and instructions can change rapidly. The forecast for Tuesday is low 80's and moderate wind. We couldn't ask for better weather!
Also, please note that if you sign up to work and show up at the venue before the race, but the race can't be held due to (1) nearby lightning or (2) not enough workers to safely run the race or (3) fewer than 10 racers you still get your worker credit.
Thank you for supporting our club races and local cycling!
Allen
We still need 5 workers for the road race tomorrow, Tuesday, May 12th. Here is a link to the registration. Whether working or racing, please sign up as soon as possible to allow this race to happen.
Please keep an eye out for weather and race updates via e-mail and this web site as conditions and instructions can change rapidly. The forecast for tomorrow has IMPROVED! Looks like mid-60's and rain not arriving until we 8 or 9 PM.
Also, please note that if you sign up to work and show up at the venue before the race, but the race can't be held for whatever reason (lightning, not enough workers to safely run the race, meteor strike within 100 miles or so, ...) you still get your worker credit!
The annual club meeting will be held at The Wheelhouse at Oak Openings on Thursday, April 9th at 6:30. Please join us, all are welcome!
