About MVW

About the Club:

Old Patches     Since 1969 the Maumee Valley Wheelmen has been a strong sports club in the Toledo, Ohio area. The club is affiliated with the United States Cycling Federation and has long-term connections with other area clubs such as the Team Toledo Triathlon Club, the Toledo Road Runners and the Toledo Area Bicyclists.

The club is small - about 100 members range in age from 12 years to 75, and average in the mid-30's. A strong student group looks good in local and USCF races, with a powerful masters contingent pushing them on to glory. Some members have racing in their blood, others focus on recreational riding and get a kick out of helping with racing and training. Want to see what we look like? Click for some photos. Look here for a little club history.
Only members can race, but everyone is welcome on informal training and recreational rides during the week and on weekends. Membership dues are $40/year, $50 for a household. Print an application here for membership.
